Adding tags on an entry
Adding tags to entries is really simple. When you’re writing a note for your entry, use tab to select an existing tag. Tags are selected by checkbox. If you don’t see the tag you want to use, click "Manage Tags" and add any more tags you want there. E.g. "Testing." The next time you add a new entry, you’ll be able to use that tag.
An entry can have as many tags as you want.
*Note: You can only select one subtag per tag.
Search Tags if you can't find what you're looking for:
Subtags are great for when you want to understand how long a phase within a specific task may take. Like subtag "Bugs" for the tag "Programming" or the subtag "Sketching" for tag "Design."
Subtags can also have an emoji.
Subtags can also be rearranged:
Select a subtag on an entry by the radio-buttons (those silly circle selection buttons). *Note: You can only have one subtag per main tag on each entry. If you want to be able to use multiple sub-level tags then you should make them into main tags instead.
Other Related Questions:
Is it possible to move subtags to another main tag?
Not swiftly but it's possible. You can create a new main tag with the title you want. Then you'll need to go to each entry with the old subtag and switch it to the main tag.
Who can create and manage the tags?
Where can I see all the time I've logged for each tag?
All hours logged on a tag can be viewed in the Reports section. Learn more on how you can generate a report on your tags.
Can I bulk update several hours with a tag in one go?
Absolutely. Bulk updating your hours is great for when you need to apply a particular tag to many hours on several different users all at once. You can do this swiftly inside the project you want to mark hours with a tag for.
Use the checkboxes on the left hand side, just like when you mark hours as billed. Select which tags you want to apply to the hours selected. Hit update.
*You can also bulk delete hours if you need to. We recommend that you use this feature carefully, as once you delete hours, you cannot get them back.
