Keeping track of your team's hours is essential for expediting invoicing at end of the month. But it's also invaluable for keeping your team healthy, supported and effective.
Timely's People Dashboard breaks down everything you need to know about your employees in one intelligent space, from individual capacity and overtime, to workload distribution and resource availability.
No need to dig for your dataโfocus instead on scheduling resources, balancing workloads and protecting your team from burnout before it happens.
How do I use it?
First, make sure you've set your weekly workspace capacity within Timely by going to Settings > Workspace. This defines the default amount of hours people in your organization work each week. You can also assign someone an individual capacity from their Editor page, which will override the workspace default.
As your colleagues log and plan time, their personal capacity bars will update on the People Dashboard. Hovering on a weekly capacity bar will provide the following extra detail:
Logged: the total time logged for the period
Planned work: the total time planned for the period
Free capacity: the remaining time the person has available
Total capacity: the person's total weekly capacity, according to workspace or individual capacity
Using the filter options, you'll be able to see specific users or teams as well as view 4-, 6-, 8-, and 12-week periods across your whole workspace:
